Accra, July 28, GNA - Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), and members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) have paid a courtesy call on Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, the Oti Regional Minister, as part of the Police Administration’s working visit to the region.
Mr Yohuno assured the Regional Minister of the Police Service’s continued support for the region and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order, a press release copied to the Ghana News Agency said on Monday.
It said the police had a strong presence on the ground and would continue to intensify efforts to combat crime and bring perpetrators to justice.
Mr Gyapong, on his part, commended the Ghana Police Service for its efforts in maintaining peace and security in the region, particularly in the fight against armed robbery and other criminal activities.
He appealed for more police personnel and additional operational vehicles to strengthen policing in the area and urged the Service to remain resolute in tackling all forms of crime.
