Accra, Dec. 13, GNA–The Progressive Intellectuals (PI), a collective of academics from various universities in Ghana, have congratulated Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on her election as Ghana’s first female Vice President.
The group praised her distinguished career and exceptional leadership, expressing confidence in her ability to drive the nation’s progress.
In a statement, the PI praised the vice president-elect her pioneering role in both the academic and political spheres.
“We are pleased to congratulate Her Excellency the Vice President-elect. You have been a trailblazer in academia, and your exemplary service as Minister of Education has set a high standard of leadership in Ghana,” the statement, signed by Professor Yunus Dumbe, President of the PI, read.
“Your legacy as Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast and your contributions as Minister of Education speak volumes of your commitment to national development.”
The PI expressed confidence that the intellectual prowess and administrative expertise of the Vice President-elect, developed through her leadership in the education sector, would be invaluable in her new role.
The group emphasized its anticipation of her leveraging her vast experience to implement thoughtful policies that would enhance the lives of Ghanaians.
