Coach Otto Addo visits injured players  

Accra, Dec. 20, GNA – Otto Addo – Head Coach of the Black Stars as part of his rebuilding process has visited some injured players of the team. 

The visit by the Black Stars Coach is to offer solidarity and support for his players who are nursing various injuries. 

Coach Addo on Monday, December 16, visited injured defender Alidu Seidu before he underwent a successful surgery in France. 

Coach Addo shared words of encouragement with the Stade Rennes’ right -back before he went under the knife following a cruciate ligament setback in his left knee during a French Lique 1 match against LOSC last month. 

He would miss several key games, including Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March against Chad and Madagascar. 

He also visited injured Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku as he continues his rehabilitation to full fitness, as well as fit-again Jordan Ayew. 

Fatawu Issahaku is undergoing rehabilitation after being sidelined for the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury. 

The winger would miss Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in March next year. 

Ayew is back to the Leicester team after recuperating from an injury he picked up during Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola on November 16, 2024.
