Accra, Aug. 5, GNA – Many Gas filling stations in some parts of Accra are recording long queues of people since the beginning of the weeks as a results of rumored Gas shortage.
The Ghana News Agency visited some Gas filling stations around Teshie in Accra to observe the situation, at the Goil Service Station around the A-Life Junction at Teshie, the gates to the station were closed with a ‘No Gas’ signage boldly mounted at the entrance.
At the Star and Trade Cross filling stations also at Teshie, customer had formed queues and waiting their turn until the attendants told them the gas had finished.
Some of the patrons visibly begged the attendants to do some ‘magic,’ while others carried their cylinders to continue their search.
The rumored Gas shortage has forced some drivers whose vehicles use gas to park their vehicles around the filling stations in anticipation of some coming soon.
Mr Adjetey Annan, a disappointed driver, whose car runs on LPG, said he had used what was left in his car moving from one station to another.
The Ghana National Petroleum Tanker Drivers Association embarked on a strike earlier in the week to expresses concern about some LPG stations which have been closed since 2017.
