Avagah (E/R), Dec. 10, GNA – Nana Awo Akyere I, the Queen mother of Avagah a suburb of Nsawam has commended the government for the construction of a Community-based Health and Planning Services (CHPS) compound for the people of the area.
Nana Akyere said, with the construction of the CHPS compound the inhabitants would not have to travel far distances to clinics and hospitals whenever they were sick and called for more progress in the town.
She gave the commendation in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after the commissioning of the project by Mr Emmanuel Owusu Authur, the Municipal Chief Executives for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Mr Frank Annoh Dompreh, the Member of Parliament (MP) and Mr Jeremiah Agyekum, the Coordinating Director of the Assembly.
Mr Authur also commended the MP for assisting the Assembly with some of his common fund for the earlier commencement of the project.
