Agona Swedru, (C/R) Dec 7, GNA – The Chris Cares Apprenticeship programme has presented startup kits to 100 trainees to help then to establish their own shops to earn quality living.
The kits are made up of sewing machines, hair dryer devices and other accessories.
Speaking to the media, Mr Christ Arthur, the Chief Executive Officer of the Chris Cares Apprenticeship programme, said the presentation formed the phase three of the programme embarked two years ago to support young ladies and men who were eager to learn trades.
Mr Arthur said the Chris Care Apprenticeship Programme took the decision to assist, especially those who hailed from outside Agona Swedru to offer them the helping hand to setup their businesses.
Mr Arthur, who is the Agona West NPP Parliamentary Candidate (PC), said it was sad to note that while learning a trade, some apprentices dropped out due to financial constraints.
According to the PC, because of this unpalatable story, the Chris Cares Apprenticeship programme instituted sponsorship package of GHC500 monthly allowance to over 700 apprentices to reduce the financial burden to complete their courses.
He expressed optimism that the beneficiaries would make effective use of the startup kits given them so that their parents and other relatives would enjoy their labour together in future.
Mr Arthur appealed to the beneficiaries, parents, relatives, and friends to vote massively for him as brand-new MP for Agona West and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as brand-new President of Ghana.
He called on them to take a second look at the various social interventions by the government led by President Akufo Addo and Dr Bawumia as Vice president, rolled out to reduce financial burden on Ghanaians.
Mr Arthur made similar appeal to floating voters to cast ballots for him and Dr Bawumia to continue roll out good policies and programmes that will ensure their benefits, adding that the alternative is empty and very scary as they witnessed the bad governance of Opposition NDC from 2012 to 2016.
The beneficiaries expressed their joy and gratitude to the CEO of Chris Cares Apprenticeship Programme for the startup kits and pledged to reciprocate the kind gesture by voting massively for him and Dr Bawumia on December 7, elections.
