Kpodokope-Ada, Nov. 07, GNA – A Ford Sprinter bus and an unregistered Toyota Voxy were involved in a crash at the Kpodokope-Tamatoku Junction in the Ada East District on the Accra-Aflao Highway on Friday night, leaving the Voxy overturned. Â
The crash occurred at about 2230 hours, involving the blue-black Ford Sprinter with green stripes and registration number AW 6857-21 and a white Toyota Voxy.
Mr Eleazer Lawerteh, a driver and eyewitness, said the Voxy was travelling from Accra towards Kpodokorpe when it approached the junction and indicated its intention to turn.
He said three vehicles were behind the Voxy, with the first overtaking it while the second slowed down after noticing its intention to branch off.
He added that the third vehicle, the Ford Sprinter, attempted to overtake at the time the Voxy was making the turn, resulting in the collision and causing the Voxy to somersault.
Some occupants of the two vehicles sustained minor injuries and were rushed to the Ada East District hospital for medical attention.
The driver of the Ford Sprinter was also reported to have sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.
