Moscow, Nov 6 (RIA Novosti/GNA) – Supplies of Russian diesel to global energy markets will contribute to their stabilization, Dmitry Birichevsky, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department of Economic Cooperation, told RIA Novosti.
“In the current conditions of growing macroeconomic turbulence, the arrival of additional volumes of Russian diesel on global energy markets will undoubtedly help stabilize them, although it will not be able to fully eliminate the entire accumulated deficit,” Birichevsky said.
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on media reports about an alleged change of course by tankers carrying Russian diesel fuel heading to the US, on Thursday said that Russian diesel fuel will find its buyers within the framework of previously reached agreements.
On October 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump reached an agreement on Russian diesel exports. Trump again criticized Vladimir Zelensky for his reluctance to make a deal with Russia or stop strikes on Russian oil refineries. Trump also stated that Ukraine needs a new leader.
