Dzodze (V/R), Nov. 03, GNA – The Reverend Martin Amenaki, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ketu North, has joined officials of the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) and contractors undertaking the Big Push road project to inspect the Dzodze-Denu road and assess the progress and quality of work.
The inspection covered Lot 8B, stretching from Dzodze Kplikpadzi to Penyi, and Lot 9, which extends from Penyi to Denu.
Rev Amenaki said the team assessed the extent of work completed, the quality of execution, and the outstanding activities required to advance the project.
He said the contractors briefed the delegation on work undertaken so far and outlined the next phases of construction.
The MCE described the road as a critical transport corridor linking communities in the Ketu North and Ketu South municipalities, noting that its completion would significantly improve connectivity and facilitate movement within the area.
He said the completed road would reduce travel time, improve road safety, facilitate the movement of goods and services, and stimulate economic activities along the corridor.
Rev Amenaki expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for prioritising road infrastructure development under the Big Push agenda.
He also acknowledged the support of Mr Kwame Governs Agbodza, Minister of Roads and Highways, and Mr Eric Edem Agbana, Member of Parliament for Ketu North, for their collaboration towards the successful execution of the project.
The MCE stressed the need for contractors to maintain high construction standards and adhere to agreed timelines to ensure the delivery of durable and quality road infrastructure.
Rev Amenaki assured residents and other stakeholders of his continued monitoring of the project to ensure its completion to the satisfaction of beneficiary communities.
