Aflao (V/R), Nov. 03, GNA – Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketu South, has donated GHS10,000 to support the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) in the municipality towards its annual Week celebration.

The financial support, facilitated by Mr Courage Kwabla Babanawo, a nurse and newly elected Deputy Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the constituency, is expected to assist the planning committee in organising activities for the celebration.

Presenting the donation to the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Mr Babanawo reaffirmed his commitment to championing the interests of nurses and midwives, as well as addressing the broader developmental needs of the people of Ketu South.

He said he would leverage his new position to coordinate and engage politicians, philanthropists and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to mobilise support for the municipality.

Mr Babanawo noted that strengthening partnerships and mobilising resources would contribute significantly to community development and the welfare of residents.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the organising committee, Mr Philimon Ametorwodufia expressed gratitude to the MP for the financial support and commended Mr Babanawo for his efforts in securing the assistance.

He said the contribution would go a long way in supporting preparations for a successful celebration aimed at recognising the dedication and contributions of nurses and midwives to healthcare delivery in the Ketu South Municipality.

Mr Ametorwodufia indicated that the Week celebration would also provide a platform for health professionals to reflect on their achievements and promote greater collaboration within the profession.

The GRNMA Week celebration provides an opportunity for nurses and midwives to strengthen professional unity, promote excellence in healthcare delivery, and recognise their invaluable contribution to national development.
