Van Vicker sues Lil Win, seeks GHS10m in defamation suit

Accra, Oct. 13, GNA – Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has filed a defamation suit against fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, at the High Court in Accra, seeking GHS10 million in damages.

The suit stems from a viral social media video in which Lil Win allegedly accused Van Vicker of dishonesty and unprofessional conduct and threatened to bar him from working in the Kumawood film industry.

In court documents filed on October 12, 2026, Van Vicker contends that the statements damaged his reputation, exposed him to public ridicule and negatively affected his professional relationships and acting opportunities.

He denies the allegations, describing himself as a professional actor, producer and director who has always adhered to industry standards.

Van Vicker also claims the publication has led to embarrassing inquiries from colleagues, producers and family members, while creating uncertainty about his availability for film projects in Kumasi.

The actor is asking the court to declare the statements defamatory, award GHS10 million in exemplary damages and order Lil Win to issue a public retraction and apology on news platforms.

The writ also directs Lil Win to enter an appearance within eight days after being served with the summons, including the day of service.

It warned that failure to do so could result in judgment being entered against him in his absence without further notice.
