Tamale, Oct 24, GNA – Takara Bigiza Company Limited, an indigenous construction firm, has donated teaching and learning materials and other educational items to learners of Kootingli Presbyterian Primary School to support quality education in deprived communities.

The items donated included English Language and Mathematics textbooks, exercise books, school uniforms, pairs of shoes, pencils, pens, crayons, erasers amongst others.

Mr Tony Mahama Paa Oluu, the Chief Executive Officer, Takara Bigiza Company Ltd, handed over the items to the beneficiary learners at the school.

Kootingli is a farming community in the Tamale South Constituency where some learners face challenges in accessing education.

The gesture also formed part of the company’s efforts to support learners in deprived communities and help them remain in school with dignity.

In February this year, the company extended a similar gesture to learners of Bagliga Primary School in the Tamale South Constituency.

School authorities and community members expressed appreciation to the company and its Chief Executive Officer for the support, describing it as an important contribution towards improving the educational needs of learners in the community.
