Accra, Oct.1, GNA – The Education Department of the South East Ghana Union Mission (SEGUM) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, has launched the ‘OneVoice27’ evangelistic initiative at the Naylor School Complex at Tema Community 6.
The initiative formed part of the broader ‘OneVoice27’ mission of mobilising Church members and institutions to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through strategic communication, digital content creation, education and evangelistic engagement.
A statement issued to the Ghana News Agency by SEGUM, said Madam Comfort Owusu-Dankwah, the Education Director of SEGUM, led and actively participated in the programme, which brought together Church leaders, educators and representatives of various departments and institutions within the SEGUM family.
“Among those present were the Union Executive Secretary, Treasurer, Youth Director, and the Director responsible for Women, Children and Health Ministries, as well as other Church leaders and stakeholders,” it added.
The statement said the Meridian Ghana Conference was represented by its Youth Director and Health Director, highlighting the collaborative approach being adopted across the Church to advance the ‘OneVoice27’ mission.
The statement said the leaders emphasised the need for the Church to engage schools and young people more deliberately in its evangelistic mission while leveraging creative communication and digital platforms to share messages of hope with the wider community.
‘OneVoice27’ is being implemented on the global theme; “All Things New: Hope Starts Here,” with a focus on mobilising members, pastors, educators, young people and content creators to communicate a unified message of hope centered on Jesus Christ.
The statement said the launch at the Naylor School Complex marked an effort to extend the initiative beyond traditional Church settings and into educational institutions, where young people could be reached, equipped and encouraged to become ambassadors of the gospel.
SEGUM expressed gratitude to God for the successful launch and commended the Education Department, Church leadership, educators and other stakeholders for their contributions towards the programme.
The Union reaffirmed its commitment to initiatives that integrated education, communication, media, youth engagement and evangelism to advance the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
