Akatsi (VR), Oct. 27, GNA – Mr Pope Yao Yevoo, a long-serving member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been appointed Deputy National Organiser of the party.

His appointment is expected to draw on his experience in grassroots mobilisation, party administration and political communication, particularly in the Volta Region, where he has held various leadership positions.

Mr Yevoo, who confirmed the development to the GNA, joined the NPP in 2000 and began his political activism as a member of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) at the Jasikan College of Education.

He later continued his involvement with TESCON at the University of Ghana, where he participated in activities aimed at promoting the party’s ideals and encouraging student participation in politics.

He subsequently served as Ketu North Constituency Secretary, contributing to constituency administration, membership mobilisation and the coordination of party activities.

Mr Yevoo later became the Volta Regional Communications Officer, a position in which he communicated the party’s policies and positions on national issues.

He was subsequently elevated to the position of Volta Regional Secretary, where he was responsible for coordinating administrative activities, strengthening party structures and supporting organisational programmes across the region.

His appointment as Deputy National Organiser marks another step in his political career, which spans more than two decades of involvement in the party’s activities at the tertiary, constituency and regional levels.

The appointment is expected to provide the party with additional experience in grassroots organisation and administration as it works to strengthen its structures and mobilisation efforts nationwide.
