Nkwanta North (O/R), Oct. 13, GNA – Mr Dickson Bansah, the District Director of Education for Nkwanta North, has appealed to benevolent individuals and organisations to assist the district in constructing additional classroom facilities to improve teaching and learning.
According to him, only six out of the 64 kindergartens in the district have classroom facilities, leaving pupils in the remaining schools to study under trees or in pavilions.
Mr Bansah made the appeal when the Member of Parliament for Nkwanta North, John Oti Bless, handed over a three-unit junior
High School (JHS) classroom block with axillary facilities to the education directorate at Lakpor, a farming community in the district.
He expressed concern about the inadequate classroom infrastructure and called on philanthropists, corporate organisations, and other stakeholders to support efforts to provide a conducive learning environment for pupils across the district.
Mr John Oti Bless, the Member of Parliament for Nkwanta North in an interview with the Ghana News Agency during the commissioning ceremony, reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising education and providing educational facilities to communities within the constituency.
He noted that education was essential to personal and professional development, stressing that the achievements of many professionals would not have been possible without access to education.

The MP explained that his determination to improve educational infrastructure across the constituency was driven by his belief that every child deserved the opportunity to receive quality education, regardless of their location.
He further emphasised the need to invest in education to equip young people with the knowledge and skills required to contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities and the country.
“The handover of the three-unit JHS classroom block at Lakpor was expected to improve access to educational infrastructure in the community and provide a more conducive environment for teaching and learning,” he added.
