Wiawso (W/NR), Oct. 19, GNA – MTN Ghana has cautioned Mobile Money (MoMo) customers never to share their Personal Identification Number (PIN) with anyone to avoid being scammed.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency after an engagement with selected media personnel in the Western North Region, Mr. Kennedy Ofosuhene, Corporate Services Advisor for Southern Ghana, explained that “sharing your PIN with others allowed them to take advantage of it to withdraw money from your wallet, while others might use it to access quick loans without your knowledge”.

The engagement allowed both the media and MTN Ghana to review past engagements and take feedback from complaints received from customers in the area and how best to address them.

He used the opportunity to commend media practitioners in the region for their continued support in helping MTN Ghana to improve upon network stability in the region.

He announced that network challenges in the past years have been resolved and said the company looked forward to serving customers better.

He further announced that MTN Ghana would offer 500 scholarships to needy but brilliant students at the tertiary level and called on residents to take advantage of MTN’s corporate social responsibility initiatives so that communities in the region would also benefit.

Miss Jessica Woods, Network Operations Engineer, on her part said six out of the 19 masts in the area were ready to provide better services for customers and the rest would be completed soon.

She explained that when completed, it would resolve the challenge of poor network in the area.
