Accra, Oct. 14, GNA – Mfantsipim School, Ghana’s oldest senior high school (SHS), has partnered Caveman Watches, a Ghanaian watch manufacturing company, to produce branded watches depicting the school’s legacy.

The partnership seeks to celebrate the school’s 150-year legacy of academic excellence, character formation and leadership development.

Captain John B. Yamoah, Chairman of the Mfantsipim 150th Anniversary Planning Committee, said the collaboration would honour the school’s heritage while looking towards the future.

He said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra on Wednesday after officials of the two institutions signed the partnership agreement.

“Partnerships such as this provide an opportunity to honour our heritage while looking confidently towards the future,” he said, describing Caveman Watches as a Ghanaian brand that shared the school’s appreciation for quality, distinction and lasting value.

Capt. Yamoah said the school’s authorities and old students remained committed to upholding its founding ideals.

Mr Solomon Kwasi Affum, Business Development Manager of Caveman Watches, said the company was honoured to be associated with the anniversary celebrations.

The milestone demonstrated the role of education, character and vision in shaping generations.

“This milestone is a testament to the power of education, character, and vision in shaping generations,” he said.

“At Caveman Watches, we believe that the greatest legacies are built over time, and we are proud to be associated with an institution whose impact continues to transcend generations.”

Mr Affum said the collaboration reflected the company’s commitment to celebrating Ghanaian excellence and building meaningful relationships with institutions that had shaped the nation’s history.

Established in 1876, Mfantsipim School has a long tradition of academic achievement, character formation and leadership development, producing generations of people who have contributed to national development.

The 150th anniversary celebrates the school’s legacy and its continued commitment to shaping future leaders.
