Kpando (V/R), Oct. 26, GNA – Josvik Academy, a private Basic School in Kpando, has unveiled a modern sanitation facility, including toilets, urinals and a changing room for female students, to improve hygiene and promote a conducive learning environment.
The facility was unveiled during the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting on Friday.
Pastor Joshua Viwuga Fenuku, the Proprietor and Headmaster of the school, said the changing room was intended to provide female students with a convenient and comfortable space to manage their menstrual hygiene while at school.
He said the school, established four years ago, provides education from crèche to Junior High School (JHS), alongside weekend and holiday classes, Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) preparation and remedial classes for Senior High School students preparing for the November/December (NOV/DEC) examinations.
The meeting also featured the school’s 2026 student leadership elections, which provided learners with practical experience in democratic participation and leadership.
Pastor Fenuku explained that the initiative was designed to complement classroom lessons on democracy and governance by allowing students to participate in an electoral process.

He said the school’s electoral guidelines prohibited vote-buying, with candidates expected to campaign on their vision, objectives and proposed contributions rather than offer money, food or other incentives to voters.
He urged the public to reject vote-buying and elect leaders based on their competence, integrity and development plans.
Although the school is founded on Christian values, Pastor Fenuku said it welcomes learners from other religious backgrounds.
He encouraged parents to enroll their children in the school, reaffirming its commitment to educational excellence under the motto: “Josvik Academy — Excellence Is Our Hallmark.”
