Intravenous Infusions targets profitability in 2027

By Morkporkpor Anku

Accra, Oct. 26, GNA – Intravenous Infusions Limited PLC expects to improve revenue and profitability in 2027 and resume dividend payments when its financial position strengthens.

The expected revenue and profit generation follows measures to address working capital constraints that affected production in 2025.

Mr Moukhtar M. Soalihu, Managing Director of the company, said the improved working capital position was expected to sustain production and support better operating and financial performance in the coming years.

Mr Soalihu made this known at the company’s annual general meeting in Accra.

He said the decline in revenue recorded in 2025 was largely due to production challenges arising from working capital constraints.

Mr Soalihu said the company had taken steps in 2026 to address the constraints and restore its manufacturing operations.

He said the measures had placed the company on a stronger footing to improve production, meet customer demand and increase revenue.

The Managing Director gave the assurance at the company’s Annual General Meeting in Accra, where he outlined management’s expectations for the company’s recovery.

He said the priority was to sustain the operational momentum achieved in 2026 and translate it into improved financial results.

Mr Soalihu said management expected the improvements in production and revenue to support a return to profitability and create the conditions for dividend payments to shareholders.

He said the company remained committed to strengthening its position in Ghana’s pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and improving its business performance.

He assured shareholders that the leadership would continue to implement measures to sustain the company’s recovery and support long-term growth.

Mr Leon Kendon Appenteng, Board Chairman of Intravenous Infusions Limited PLC said the company recorded a net loss of GH¢4.63 million in 2025, compared with GH¢640,000 in 2024, while revenue declined by about 15 per cent.

He said performance was attributed to reduced production, working capital constraints and operational difficulties that affected the company’s ability to meet customer demand.

The Board Chairman said in 2026, financial investment and support from CCM Healthcare Investments helped the company address working capital needs, replenish raw materials and resume production across major manufacturing lines.

He said the company’s preliminary management accounts showed improved revenue and profitability indicators in 2026, including increased production output and higher gross profit margins.

Mr Appenteng said management would continue to focus on operational efficiency, financial discipline and sustained business growth, with the aim of restoring shareholder returns as soon as conditions improved.

The Chairman said the company intended to build on its manufacturing progress, established brand and relationships with healthcare professionals to strengthen its position as a local pharmaceutical manufacturer and contribute to the supply of essential medical products.
