Accra, Oct. 1, GNA – GCB Bank PLC has dedicated October to customer appreciation, education and engagement, extending this year’s Customer Service Week into a month-long programme.
The programme, under the global theme: “The Extra Mile”, seeks to deepen customer engagement, gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
The Bank, which has served Ghanaians for more than seven decades, said the initiative would provide an opportunity to appreciate customers for their loyalty and better understand their experiences.
Mr Farihan Alhassan, Managing Director of GCB Bank, said the programme reflected the Bank’s responsibility to earn and maintain customer trust.
“For generations, our customers have trusted us with their savings, businesses and aspirations. We value that trust and recognise the responsibility that comes with it,” he said.
“This October, we are making more time to hear from our customers and understand how we can serve them better.”
The Bank said customer centricity remained a key pillar of its strategy, guiding the development of products and delivery of services.
As part of the activities, a Customer Town Hall would provide customers with an opportunity to share feedback and engage directly with the bank’s leadership.
Members of the Executive Committee would also visit selected branches to interact with customers and staff and learn about their everyday experiences.

Other activities include branch appreciation programmes, customer education sessions, a Patrons Appreciation Day to recognise longstanding customer relationships, and the GCB Aerobics Fiesta to promote fitness and wellness among customers.
Ms Cynthia Eyram Ofori-Dwumfuo, Chief Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience Officer of GCB Bank, said customer feedback would be central to the month-long engagements.
“Going the extra mile starts with getting the everyday things right: clear information, timely responses and support when customers need it.
“This month, we want to hear what is working and where we need to improve, and use that feedback to strengthen the service we provide,” she said.
The release encouraged customers to follow the bank’s official communication channels for information on the activities and opportunities to participate.
GCB said insights gathered from the engagements would also inform ongoing efforts to improve the customer experience beyond October.
