Sefwi-Wiawso (WN/R), Sept. 01, GNA – Mr Michael Aidoo, the Western North Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and some party executives have cut the sod for the construction of an ultra-modern office at Sefwi-Wiawso to host the party’s activities.
Speaking to the media after the sod cutting ceremony, Mr Aidoo emphasised on the importance of a befitting office for the Region to serve as the central hub for the party’s activities and strengthen its operations within the area.
He explained that the project was being funded solely from the party’s own recourses, demonstrating the commitment of the regional leadership and party members to strengthen the structures of the NDC in the Western North Region.
He promised that the leadership of the party would work hard to reclaim the Suaman Constituency parliamentary seat in the next general election.
Mr Joseph Appiah, Akontombra District Chief Executive, on behalf of Municipal and District Chief Executives in the region said the office when completed would provide the party with a permanent and functional space to coordinate its activities and engage effectively with major stakeholders and party supporters.
The sod cutting ceremony was attended by all nine constituency chairmen from the region.
