Accra, Sept. 7, GNA – The South East Ghana Union Mission (SEGUM) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church has launched One Voice 27, as a major communication and mission initiative to mobilise church members and amplifying the Church’s message through coordinated media engagement, digital platforms and content creation.
The initiative was officially launched at Anloga in the Volta Region at a colourful ceremony attended by more than 600 church members, leaders, dignitaries and media representatives.
A statement issued by the Communication Department of SEGUM to the Ghana News Agency said, the event which was part of the Aflao District Zone Camp Meeting held at the Anloga Technical Institute, brought together members from four districts to witness the commencement of the communication-driven mission initiative.
It said the One Voice 27 initiative seeks to harness the power of communication and emerging media platforms to advance the mission of the Church and reach wider audiences with its message.
As part of the initiative, SEGUM’s Communication Department says it would strengthen partnerships with media organisations, empower content creators and leverage both traditional and digital platforms to enhance the Church’s outreach.
The Department reaffirmed its commitment to positioning communication as a strategic instrument for mission and pledged to deploy its communication expertise, media network and human resources towards the success of the initiative.
The statement said the ceremony was attended by Pastor Col. (Rtd.) Peter Nyarko Duodu, the President of SEGUM and his wife, Pastor Dr Samuel Dorgbetor, the SEGUM Communication Director, and members of his family, as well as other distinguished guests.
It added that the Volta Ghana Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church was also represented by its president and wife, departmental directors and other church leaders.
The statement said the launch featured several activities marked by worship, celebration and renewed commitments from participants to support the One Voice 27 agenda.
The statement said the initiative would also help strengthen the collective voice of the Church, while creating greater opportunities for members and content creators to contribute to its mission through effective communication and media engagements.
