Kpassa(O/R) Sept 17, GNA – The National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) has donated 1,150 exercise books to the Nkwanta North District Assembly for distribution to students in the district.
The items were handed over to Mr Isaiah Kudjoe Dordoe, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nkwanta North, by Mr Abubakar Alhassan, Presiding Member of the District Assembly, on behalf of NALAG.
The donation forms part of efforts to support students with essential learning materials and complement existing initiatives aimed at improving teaching and learning outcomes in the district.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Assembly, Mr Dordoe expressed appreciation to NALAG, the Presiding Member, and Assembly Members for the gesture.
He said the exercise books would help alleviate some of the challenges faced by students, particularly those from families who might have difficulty providing basic educational materials.
The DCE said the Assembly remained committed to supporting education and creating an enabling environment for students to learn effectively.
He called for continued partnerships with organisations and individuals to complement the Assembly’s efforts towards improving education and the general well-being of students in the district.
