Sakumono, Sept. 19, GNA — The Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowship (AMMF) of the Methodist Church Ghana has opened its 14th Biennial Delegates Conference in Tema, to review its progress and outline strategic initiatives for the future.
Mr Ebenezer Anowih, the Connexional Chairman of the AMMF, who opened the conference, expressed gratitude to God for bringing members together for the biennial gathering, two years after the previous conference in Kumasi.
Mr Anowih disclosed that the association generated GH¢964,670.77 from the Men’s Day celebration, representing a 28 per cent increase above the 2024 proceeds of GH¢752,840.73.
He indicated that the conference has officially assented to the revised edition of the 2017 by-laws following successful work completed by the review committee.
He highlighted ongoing capital projects, including the 40th Anniversary Pavilion at Asewase, which has been transformed into a chapel building that is currently 95 per cent complete.
Mr Anowih noted that the fellowship is also continuing with its strategic financial investments in the Methodist retreat and spirituality centre at Winneba alongside the Bompata future life project.
He explained that the annual Easter Saturday diocesan evangelism programme continues to expand across the connection, though adequate statistical mechanisms must be introduced to properly measure its long-term impact and conduct follow-ups.
Mr Anowih announced the conclusion of his three-year tenure as connexional chairman and urged delegates to elect candid, God-fearing, and servant-hearted leaders to advance the growth of the association.
