Dambai (O/R), Sept 9, GNA – The Krachi East Municipal Assembly is set to commission and hand over several completed development projects to beneficiary communities from September 10 to 11 2026.
The ceremony, described by the Assembly as a “milestone achievement,” is expected to provide an opportunity for the Assembly and stakeholders to formally hand over the completed projects for use by residents.
The projects include a community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound, a block for Kpelema Junior High School (JHS), teachers’ bungalow, and 10 mechanised boreholes.
The projects are expected to contribute to improving access to basic healthcare, education, potable water, and accommodation for teachers in beneficiary communities.
The two-day commissioning and handover ceremony is scheduled to take place at the respective beneficiary communities, beginning at 0800 hours each day.
The programme is being held on the theme: “Milestone Achievement as Completed Projects are Commissioned and Officially Handed Over to Beneficiaries.”
The publicity materials sighted by the Ghana News Agency (GNA), featured President John Dramani Mahama, Oti Regional Minister, Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, Krachi East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Safo Nketia and Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Nelson Kofi Djabab.
The Assembly said the projects formed part of efforts to address critical infrastructure needs and improve the socio-economic wellbeing of residents.
The commissioning is expected to bring together traditional authorities, Assembly members, community leaders, beneficiaries and other stakeholders to witness the formal handing over of the facilities.
