By Frank Kwame Abbor, GNA

Ho, Sept. 7, GNA – Mr Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu, Member of Parliament (MP) of Ho Central, has donated essential equipment to the Ho Municipal Ambulance Service to enhance emergency response and service delivery.

The items donated included a refrigerator, computer with accessories, chairs, mattresses, and a multipurpose printer.

Mr Kpotosu said the donation was made in response to specific needs identified and recommended by personnel of the Ambulance Service to ensure that the support addressed their operational requirements.

He said effective emergency response depended largely on responders having the appropriate tools and resources to perform their duties efficiently.

Speaking at the donation ceremony on September 4, Mr Kpotosu said he remained committed to supporting emergency responders and improving services for residents of the Ho Central Constituency and the Municipality.

“I look forward to the judicious use of these items, and I remain committed to providing more of the urgent needs that have also been mentioned to me,” he said.

The MP said the items were intended to complement the efforts of ambulance personnel who worked around the clock to respond to emergencies and provide timely assistance to residents.

He said strengthening the capacity of emergency responders was important because every emergency call required prompt and effective intervention to help save lives.

Mr Henry Horlali Mawugbe, Deputy Regional Administrative Manager of the National Ambulance Service, who received the items on behalf of the Service, expressed appreciation to Mr Kpotosu for the gesture.

He assured the MP that the items would be put to judicious use to support the work of the Ambulance Service and improve its operations.

Mr Mawugbe also appealed for continued support to enable the Service to address other operational needs and enhance emergency responses in the Municipality.

Mr Kpotosu expressed the hope that the donated items would improve the working environment and operational capacity of the Ho Municipal Ambulance Service.

The donation forms part of his efforts to support essential public services and contribute to improved emergency response within the Municipality.

He urged the Ambulance Service to ensure the judicious use and proper maintenance of the items to derive maximum benefit from the intervention.
