Tel Aviv, Sept 4 (RIA Novosti/GNA) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Friday that it had detained five militants in the West Bank who were allegedly preparing to carry out a terrorist attack.
“Earlier today (Friday), IDF soldiers completed a special counterterrorism operation in the Qabatiya area [West Bank], during which they apprehended a terrorist cell consisting of five terrorists who were planning to carry out a terrorist attack against Israeli civilians and security forces,” the IDF wrote on Telegram.
An M16 rifle and military equipment were found and confiscated during searches of the detainees’ homes, the IDF added.
