Ho (V/R), Sept. 12, GNA – The Ho Technical University (HTU) has matriculated 24 fresh students from the Supply Applications School (SAS) of the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) to pursue an Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply.
The ceremony, held on September 10 at the STAR-C, formally inducted the students into the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management under the HTU Business School.
The 24 students form part of a 32-member eighth cohort, while eight others were exempted from the ceremony because they had previously matriculated at the University.

The event was attended by officers and instructors from SAS, including Commander Dennis Adjei, Commanding Officer; Naval Lieutenant Michael Quaynor, Second-in-Command; and Chief Petty Officer Class One Darkwah Godfred, Coxswain.
They were joined by Management members, Deans, Heads of Department and senior administrative staff of HTU.
The fresh students were presented for matriculation by Professor Maxwell Azila-Gbettor, Dean of the HTU Business School, after which Dr Michael Todoko, Acting Registrar, administered the matriculation oath.
Dr Todoko explained that the matriculation oath is taken only once during a student’s period of study at the University.
He urged the students to strictly adhere to the University’s rules and regulations, maintain high academic standards and refrain from examination malpractice and other forms of misconduct.
Professor Ben Honyenuga, Vice-Chancellor of HTU, formally admitted the personnel and conferred on them the rights, privileges and responsibilities of students of the University.
He commended the students and underscored the importance of discipline as a key ingredient for academic success.
He urged them to draw on the values and discipline acquired through their service in the Ghana Armed Forces to enhance their academic pursuits.
Prof Honyenuga encouraged the students to remain committed to their studies and take advantage of the expertise, facilities and opportunities available at the University to achieve their academic and professional goals.
