Accra, Sept. 21, GNA – Hearts of Oak dropped their first points of the 2026-27 Ghana Premier League season after being held to a goalless draw by Bechem United on Sunday but remained top of the table after three matches.
The Phobians, seeking to maintain their perfect start to the campaign, were frustrated by a disciplined Bechem side at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
The draw leaves Hearts on seven points, level with FC Samartex but ahead on goal difference.
FC Samartex also preserved their unbeaten record after coming from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Asante Kotoko.
Kotoko appeared set to claim all three points when Emmanuel Mamah broke the deadlock in the 75th minute, but Agyenim Boateng struck late to salvage a point for the hosts.
The result keeps Samartex second on seven points, while Kotoko moved to fourth with five points.
Port City secured their first victory of the season with a 2-1 home win over Berekum Chelsea, while Aduana Stars also recorded their maiden win of the campaign by defeating Karela United 2-1.
Stephen Amankona gave Aduana the lead in the first half before Nyaba Iddi Mahfuz levelled for Karela in the 56th minute.
Mohammed Shawkan’s late winner sealed all three points for the Dormaa-based side.
Gold Stars emerged victorious in the highest-scoring match of the weekend, beating Dreams FC 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at the Tuba Astro Turf.
Elsewhere, Basake Holy Stars edged FC AshantiGold ’04 1-0, while Heart of Lions and Swedru All Blacks played out a goalless draw.
Vision FC and Medeama SC shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
