Bibiani (W/N/R), Sept. 14, GNA – Mr Bright Asamoah Brefo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, has honoured 500 students who obtained aggregates six to 12 in the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) with certificates and educational support items.
The initiative, dubbed the “MP’s Special Award for 2026 BECE Outstanding Students,” was aimed at recognising academic excellence and motivating students to strive for higher academic achievements.
The award ceremony, held at the Bibiani Methodist School Park, brought together parents, school authorities, education officials, traditional leaders and other stakeholders.
Each beneficiary received a Certificate of Excellence, a chop box, mattress, backpack, student trunk, books and other learning materials to support their transition to Senior High School.
Mr Brefo commended the students for their outstanding performance and encouraged them to remain focused and disciplined as they embarked on the next stage of their academic journey.
He reiterated his commitment to promoting education in the constituency, stressing that investment in education remained the surest way to secure the future of the constituency and the nation.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the MP for the support and pledged to work hard to achieve their ambitions of becoming doctors, lawyers, journalists, bankers and entrepreneurs.
Parents of the beneficiaries also thanked Mr Brefo for the gesture, noting that the support would ease the financial burden associated with preparing their wards for Senior High School.
