Assin Bereku (C/R), Sept. 15, GNA – The Secretariat of the Senior Presidential Advisor on Government Affairs (SPAGA), has adjudged the Assin North District Assembly as the overall best performing District in local governance and accelerated delivery in the Central Region.
In a letter sighted by the Ghana News Agency, signed by Mr Raphael Samaglo, SPAGA Secretariat, it said the Assembly had successfully reported on all 17 projects earmarked, and completed four of them.
The letter said that the Assembly’s outstanding performance was demonstrated in its high level of commitment, diligence and consistency in project monitoring.
In addition, it maintained accuracy in its up-to-date project, which was highly commendable and served as a model for other Assemblies in the Region.
Its performance aligned with the President’s vision of building a responsive, transparent and results-oriented local governance system, the letter stated.
SPAGA urged the Assembly to sustain the momentum and challenge other Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to emulate them.
In an interview with the GNA, Mr Sylvester Amakye, the District Chief Executive said he was not surprised at all of the Assembly’s commendation because of the prudent efforts made and urged the staff of the Assembly to continue working hard for the growth of the district and the nation as a whole.
He assured that all on-going projects in the District would be completed on time to serve the purpose for which it was
