Kikam (W/R), Sept. 28, GNA – Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, has handed over three educational projects to three communities in his constituency.
The projects are to bridge infrastructural gap in the education sector.
The projects are a three-unit Junior High School block with ancillary facilities at Mandumgbane; a three-unit Junior High School block at Atababo, both in the northern part of Aiyinasi; and an ultra-modern 12-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at the Kikam Technical Institute (KIMTECH).
Commissioning the project at separate functions, Mr. Armah-Kofi Buah, who is also the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, reiterated that education was the bedrock of national development and part of the Resetting Ghana Agenda.
He assured that challenges bedevilling school children in rural communities would be addressed under President John Dramani Mahama to afford them equal opportunities with their counterparts in well-endowed schools in urban areas.
Mr. Armah-Kofi Buah advised school children to study hard irrespective of their backgrounds to become responsible citizens in future,
Mr. Joseph Armah Agyekum, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellembelle, said the district continued to witness unprecedented development projects during the era of the era of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He further stated that several projects had rolled out in the area in recent times.
Mr. Armah Agyekum mentioned that communities in Aiyinasi North had been connected to the national electricity grid, and road networks reshaped and the provsion of Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS)compounds as some of the developmental projects.
Nana Etwe Kpanyinli, the Divisional Chief of Aiyinasi, thanked Mr. Armah-Kofi Buah for bringing development projects to the northern part of the district and expressed hope that education would transform the lives of children in the area.
