Wenchi, (Bono), Aug 17, GNA – Ms. Gloria Opoku Gyamfi, the Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive in the Bono Region, has lauded the immeasurable contributions of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church towards the development of the municipality.
She emphasised that the church’s vital role towards advancing development in the local communities remained unmatched, saying that the assembly remained grateful to the church for supporting the health, education and sanitation sectors of the economy.
Ms. Gyamfi, in a speech read on her behalf by Mr Clement Joshua Bilasoor, an Assistant Director of the Wenchi Municipal Assembly, praised the church at the closing session of the 2026 Annual Camp meeting of the Church at Wenchi.
On the theme: “Integrated for Mission: Grounded in the Bible and Focused on the mission”, the meeting was attended by pastors, elders and members of the church, drawn from Banda, Nsawkaw, Wenchi East and Wenchi West districts of the Midwest Ghana Conference of the SDA church.
Ms. Gyamfi also commended the church’s dedication in instilling discipline and goldy values in the youth.
Pastor Maxwell Obour Awuah, the President of the MWGC advised Christians not to compromise on their faith amidst rapid technological evolution and new media influences.
Instead, he challenged them to use new media productively to spread the gospel of God and stay away from the growing trend of digital compromises.
