Bratislava, Aug 3 (dpa/GNA) – All three occupants were killed, when a light aircraft crashed in the municipality of Očová in central Slovakia on Sunday, police said.
The pilot, 48, another man, 38, and a child died in the crash, police said on Facebook, without reporting the child’s age. Slovakian police do not generally release information about underage victims without the prior consent of relatives.
Police said no details could yet be given on the cause or the exact circumstances of the accident. Investigations were ongoing.
The accident happened during a tourist sightseeing flight, according to unconfirmed information from the TASR news agency. The aircraft was said to have come down in an open field belonging to an agricultural cooperative.
A fire broke out, but firefighters were able to extinguish it quickly.
