Accra, Aug. 17, GNA – Members of the South East Ghana Union Mission (SEGUM) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Ashaiman Central District of the Church, have ended the 2026 Annual Camp Meeting, with renewed commitment to the mission of the church.
The camp-meeting concluded with thanksgiving to God and a renewed commitment among members to remain faithful to the Scriptures, strengthen their families and actively participate in the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The camp-meeting was held under the Meridian Ghana Conference, from August 11, 2026 to August 16, 2026, at the church premises in Ashaiman.
A statement issued to the Ghana News Agency said the camp meeting was organised under the leadership of Pastor Isaac Amoakohene, the District Pastor of the Church, and brought together members, families and church leaders for worship, spiritual renewal, fellowship, Bible study and Christian service.
It said the SEGUM delegation was led by Pastor Richard Kwabena Daves, Ministerial Secretary and Stewardship Director of SEGUM, together with Pastor Dr. Samuel K. Dorgbetor, Communication Director of SEGUM, and other leaders and ministers.
The statement said among the speakers at the camp meeting was Pastor Emmanuel Asare Danso, who contributed to the spiritual nourishment, encouragement and revival of members throughout the programme.
It said the camp meeting climaxed with a special consecration service led by Pastor Richard Kwabena Davis, who delivered the consecration sermon and led members in a special consecration prayer, providing an opportunity for individuals and families to rededicate themselves to God and recommit to Christian living and service.
“The programme recorded an attendance of more than 450 people, reflecting the strong participation and interest of members and families in the district,” it added.
