National Standards Laboratory SA announces United Nations registration and Expanded Scientific Co-operation Framework

Aigle, Switzerland, Aug 2 — Swiss ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory strengthens international access to longevity science, responsible preclinical research, advanced testing capabilities and scientific collaboration.

National Standards Laboratory SA (NSL SA), a Swiss laboratory in Aigle, Canton of Vaud, announced today that it has completed registration with the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) and the United Nations Partner Portal (UNPP), creating additional channels for international scientific co-operation and technical engagement.

NSL SA operates within an ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory framework, focusing on technical competence, analytical reliability, controlled methodologies, traceable records and confidence in testing and research results.

Its capabilities include advanced inspection, measurement, analytical testing and responsible preclinical research, supported by validated methods, qualified personnel, data-integrity procedures and scientific quality controls.

A key focus of NSL SA’s research agenda is longevity science and healthy ageing. The laboratory investigates biological mechanisms associated with ageing, cellular resilience, metabolism, inflammation,

tissue maintenance and age-related functional decline. Through scientifically designed and responsibly conducted preclinical research, including animal studies where appropriate, NSL SA aims to generate reliable evidence supporting future advances in human health research.

The laboratory emphasises rigorous methodology, ethical oversight and transparent interpretation of results. Research activities are based on scientifically justified objectives, appropriate review processes, responsible sample management and efforts to reduce unnecessary experimental impact. Positive, negative and inconclusive findings are regarded as valuable contributions to scientific understanding.

NSL SA’s scientific interests include biomarker validation, multi-omics analysis, metabolic and mitochondrial research, biological ageing models, regenerative mechanisms and evidence-based approaches supporting healthy lifespan. The laboratory aims to produce research outputs suitable for independent evaluation, peer review and broader scientific application.

NSL SA is also exploring responsible open-access approaches for selected intellectual property and technical knowledge that may contribute to advances in the life sciences. Where appropriate, selected resources may be shared with qualified scientific communities to encourage wider collaboration.

Through its laboratory infrastructure, scientific expertise and international co-operation framework, NSL SA seeks to support reliable life-science research and collaboration among researchers, universities, laboratories and responsible innovation partners worldwide.
