Accra, Aug 03, GNA – President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday evening arrived in the Jamaican capital city, Kingston, for a four-day state visit to the Caribbean Island nation.
The state visit is aimed at strengthening the historic bonds between Ghana and Jamaica, deepening cooperation between Africa and the Caribbean, and advancing the global reparations agenda.
The Ghanaian leader was received at the Norman Manley International Airport, Kingston with official honours by a high-level Jamaican delegation led by Madam Sandra Grant Griffiths, Chief of State Protocol at the Office of the Prime Minister, and Mr Kofi Attor, Ghana’s High Commissioner in Kingston
President Mahama is being accompanied by a high-powered Ghanaian delegation comprising Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr Ernest Brogya, the Deputy Minister of Defence; Madam Khadija Iddrisu, the Chief of Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
