Bekwai (Ash), Aug. 20, GNA – The House of Power Ministry has donated a 4×4 pickup vehicle to the Ashanti South Regional Police Command, to support its operations and strengthen efforts to combat crime in the area.
At a brief presenting by Rev. Charles Nimako, the Head of Pastors, representing Rev. Francis Kwarteng, the Founder and General Overseer of the House of Power Ministry, said the church made the donation because security was a shared responsibility.
He said the gesture was aimed at empowering the police to discharge their duties effectively and enhance their ability to protect lives and property.
Rev. Nimako expressed the hope that the vehicle would improve the operational capacity of the command, particularly in conducting patrols and responding promptly to security incidents.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), Mr Joseph Nyaaba Hammond, who is the Ashanti South Regional Police Commander, expressed appreciation to the House of Power Ministry for the support.
He said logistics remained one of the major challenges confronting the command, saying the vehicle and other essential equipment would greatly enhance police operations.

DCOP Hammond assured the church and the public that the command would continue to work hard to maintain its high ranking in the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s assessment.
He said the police were leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to protect lives and property, adding that the command would intensify measures to achieve its “Operation Zero Crime” objective.
The Commander explained that adequate logistics would enable personnel to conduct regular patrols and respond more effectively to incidents, particularly in areas requiring increased police presence.
He therefore appealed to other institutions, organisations and individuals to continue supporting the police with vehicles and other operational equipment.
DCOP Hammond stressed that such support would complement the efforts of the police administration and strengthen the command’s ability to prevent and combat crime.
He reiterated the need for greater collaboration between the police and the public, emphasising that “policing is a shared responsibility.”
The donation forms part of efforts by stakeholders to support the police in enhancing security and maintaining peace within the Ashanti South Region.
