Ho (V/R), Aug. 28, GNA – The Ho Municipal Assembly has warned companies, organisations, individuals and the public against the posting or mounting of posters, banners, flyers and other signage at unauthorised locations within the municipality.

The Assembly said persons and organisations seeking to display promotional materials must first obtain the necessary permit from the Land Use and Spatial Planning Unit of the Ho Municipal Assembly.

A press statement signed by Mr Henry Yao Amesimeku, the Municipal Coordinating Director, and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the directive took immediate effect.

It said promotional materials posted or mounted without the required authorisation would be removed, while the individuals or organisations responsible would be surcharged by the Assembly.

The statement added that offenders could also face prosecution in accordance with the relevant regulations.

The Assembly, therefore, advised the public to seek approval before posting or mounting any posters, particularly funeral posters, banners, flyers or other forms of signage within the Municipality.

It said the measure formed part of efforts to regulate the use of public spaces and prevent the indiscriminate posting of promotional materials at unauthorised locations.

The Assembly appealed to residents, businesses, organisations and other stakeholders to cooperate with the directive to help maintain a clean, orderly and well-managed municipality.
