Accra, Aug. 10, GNA – Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of his Deputy Ambassador, Sanni Jajah, describing him as a brother, confidant, and trusted colleague.
Jajah passed away last Saturday, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated public service and diplomatic excellence.
In a statement issued on Monday, Ambassador Sinare said the late deputy was more than a colleague with whom he shared diplomatic responsibilities.
He described him as a dependable companion whose wisdom, counsel, and commitment greatly strengthened the work of Ghana’s Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
“It has taken me several painful hours to summon the courage, composure, and strength to come to terms with the sudden and devastating demise of my beloved deputy and brother,” he said.
Ambassador Sinare said Jajah was a man of exceptional character, intellectual depth, professional discipline, humility, and integrity, who served Ghana with unwavering loyalty and dedication.
“His counsel was invaluable, his commitment unquestionable, and his devotion to duty evident even in the most demanding circumstances,” he said.
“Mr. Jajah approached his responsibilities with maturity, discretion, wisdom, and courage, making significant contributions to Ghana’s diplomatic representation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
Beyond his official duties, Ambassador Sinare described the late diplomat as a warm, compassionate, and humane individual whose kindness and brotherliness touched the lives of many.
“For me personally, this loss is immeasurable. I have lost a deputy, but more painfully, I have lost a brother. I have lost a trusted confidant, a valued colleague, and a man with whom I shared the burdens, responsibilities, challenges, and aspirations of representing Ghana in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he added.
The ambassador said the loss extended beyond personal grief, describing Jajah’s passing as a significant setback for the Embassy of Ghana in Riyadh, the diplomatic community, and the nation as a whole.
“The Embassy has lost a distinguished officer. The diplomatic community has lost a respected colleague. Ghana has lost a committed servant of the Republic,” he stated.
Ambassador Sinare extended his condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, friends, colleagues, and associates.
He urged them to remember Jajah for the dignity with which he lived, the integrity with which he served, and the lasting contributions he made to the institutions and people entrusted to his care.
He also prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the deceased, asking that his shortcomings be forgiven, his good deeds accepted, and that he be granted Jannatul Firdaus, the highest level of Paradise in Islam.
Meanwhile, Mr. Yussif Jajah, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, said in a brief statement that details of the funeral and final funeral arrangements for his nephew would be announced by the family in due course.
He appealed to the public to keep the family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult period.
