Assin Juaso (C/R), Aug. 16, GNA- Mr Godfred Nti Anewu, a former Parliamentary Candidate (PC) on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the Assin Central Constituency has renovated a 16-seater toilet facility, upgrading it into an ultra-modern water closet for the people of Assin Juaso in the Central Region.
The joy of the people, particularly, women and children knew no bounds as Mr Anewu cut the tape to commission the facility.
He had also constructed a mechanised borehole to provide reliable water to support the effective operation and maintenance of the facility.
Speaking to the media after the commissioning, Mr Anewu said, sanitation, health and the overall well-being and development of the community were his topmost priority.
He therefore tasked the community to take good care of the facility to enhance its longevity, assuring them of his unflinching support in bringing more developmental projects to the area.
In addition, he told the community to support government as it worked to develop the area.
Opanyin Akwasi Wadie, caretaker of the area was grateful to the PC for a job well executed and suggested that users should be charged some small fee and the money used to maintain the facility.
