Sunyani, (Bono), Aug 21, GNA – Hajia Samira Sulley, the newly elected Bono Regional Women Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the fortunes of the party in winning the Election 2028 remains higher and pleaded with the women supporters to contribute to re-building a resilient political front.

She said doing so would enable the NPP to turn round the party’s political prospects and win political power in the next general elections.

She expressed appreciation to the delegates and the entire party in the region, urging all including the various candidates who contested the just ended Regional Executive Elections to bury their differences, forge ahead in unity and build a resilient party for the next general elections.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, Hajia Samira Sulley emphasised that though winning back the political power in the Election 2028 remained challenging and herculean, with a sense of focus and strengthened unity, the party would defeat the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

She indicated that the women’s wing of the NPP played an integral role in the political administration of the party and pledged to operate an open-door policy that would embrace and accept ideas towards building a resilient women front for the NPP in the region.

Hajia Samira Sulley described her victory in the just ended election as a victory for all, and prayed that all the NPP women in the region would come on board in her efforts towards re-strategizing and rebuilding the women’s wing.

She emphasised that coming together as party women and reaching out and promoting the vision of the former Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s Election 2028 flagbearer remained prerequisite if the party could win and return to political power in 2028.

Hajia Sulley reaffirmed her dedication, pledging to work extra hard in ensuring that the NPP in Bono reclaimed all its lost constituency parliamentary seats.

She added, however, that her vision for the party in the region could become a reality only if the women wing remained resilient enough in identifying and tackling the diverse problems confronting the party in the region.

“Now our main vision is to ensure that Alhaji Bawumia wins the 2028 General Election with a wider margin, and we can do that if we come together as women with a common goal,” Hajia Samira Sulley advised.
