Avenorpedo (VR) Aug. 26, GNA – The Avenorpedo Agbeliza Central Planning Committee (CPC), in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region, has announced a major musical event dubbed “Napado Is Our Home” to be staged on August 29, at the Avenorpedo E.P. School Park.
The event would climax the 2026 edition of the Agbeliza festival after a series of outlined activities.
Mr Reuben Dorkenu, the Secretary of the Committee, indicated that the upcoming event is expected to bring together patrons from Avenorpedo and surrounding communities for an evening of live entertainment.
“The event is scheduled to begin at 0700 hours, this show forms part of the efforts by the Planning Committee to celebrate the community’s identity and foster togetherness among youths, residents and various guests,” he said.
Mr Dorkenu explained that the festival would feature live performances from an impressive line-up of renowned artistes from the Volta Region, including Kpese Boii, Morgan Nero, Mikki Boi, Nature Drip, Taflesh, Winnard OK, and Taylorz DC.
He said the entertainment would be further enhanced by the presence of experience and award-winning disc jokers such as DJ Stephen and DJ Cent on the turntables, alongside Hypeman Godfada and Hypeman Gaza, who were expected to keep the crowd engaged throughout the night.
“The entry fee into the event ground has been pegged at GHS 20, a token the Committee believe is affordable for all residents and visitors who wish to be part of the celebration,” he said.
He said the choice of the Avenorpedo Evangelical Presbyterian School Park as the venue was deliberate, as it offered ample space to accommodate the anticipated crowd for the evening’s festivities and was used as regular event ground for the event.
Mr Dorkenu explained that the theme “Napado Is Our Home,” was carefully selected to reflect the pride and sense of belonging and the organisers hoped to instill in resident, citizens of Avenorpedo and the wider Agbeliza community the values and cultures of the area.
He noted that the Planning Committee had put in place the necessary logistical arrangements including proper security mechanism, and others to ensure a smooth, successful and enjoyable experience for all who attend the event.
Mr Dorkenu used the opportunity to extend an invitation to music lovers within Avenorpedo and beyond to grace the occasion and support the initiative, while stating that the show would serve as a platform to showcase local talent and boost community spirit.
He expressed optimism that the event would be well patronised by all and appealed to residents to turn out in their numbers to make this year’s edition of the festival a success.
