Atebubu/Amantin MCE launches free Primary Healthcare programme

Atebubu (Bono East), Aug. 24, GNA – Mr Thomas Ayarba, the Atebubu/Amantin Municipal Chief Executive, has launched the implementation of the free Primary Healthcare (PHC) Programme to improve health outcomes in the municipality. 

At a ceremony at Atebubu in the Bono East Region, Mr Ayarba explained that the PHC sought to remove financial barriers in accessing essential primary healthcare to enhance the health status of the people. 

He lauded the execution of the PHC, describing the initiative as a step that would position the nation to achieve Universal Health Coverage. 

Mr Ayarba assured the community of the Assembly’s dedication towards ensuring that the implementation of the PHC benefited everybody, regardless of their background and financial status, saying that the initiative fostered an inclusive healthcare delivery for all Ghanaians. 

Dr Michael Opoku Mireku, the Atebubu/Amantin Municipal Health Director, pledged the directorate’s commitment towards ensuring successful execution of the programme. 

He said that the PHC would benefit every Ghanaian irrespective of age, level of education, religious or ethnic background.
