Wenchi: MP inspects 24-Hour market project

Wenchi, (Bono), July 6, GNA – Alhaji Seidu Haruna, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wenchi constituency in the Bono Region has called on contractors executing the 24hour market project at Wenchi in the Bono Region to speed up for the completion of the project. 
 
He cautioned the Crexcon Ghana Limited, the contractor against shoddy work, assuring the government dedication to facilitate prompt payment. 
 
Alhaji Haruna, also a member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy, Religious and Sanitation Affairs made the call when he interacted with the workers of the construction firm when he visited the construction site at Wenchi. 
 
He said the visit was to offer him the opportunity to inspect the progress of work on the project, saying that the committee was undertaking a nationwide inspection visit to the 24-hour market project sites. 
 
Alhaji Haruna said the committee had so far visited many of the project sites and expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the construction of the markets. 
 
He urged the contractors to execute quality work, saying that the 24-hour market project remained dear to the government. 
 
The MP explained that the Wenchi 24-hour market was expected to be completed within one and a half years. 
 
Mr Bernard Asiedu Amponsah, the Site Engineer of the Crexcon Ghana Limited pledged to ensure that the project was completed within scheduled and commended the MP for the visit which he added had motivated the workers.
