Wenchi Methodist Diocese honours outgoing circuit steward

Wenchi, (Bono), July 14, GNA-The Wenchi Methodist Diocese of the Methodist Church of Ghana in the Bono Region has held a special valedictory service in honour of Mr Samuel Mensah, the outgoing Circuit Steward and Diocesan Treasurer of the diocese and his family. 
 
The event which took place at the Wenchi Methodist Cathedral was attended by traditional leaders, the clergy, politicians, lay members of the church and the congregants. 
 
It marked Mr Mensah’s years of dedicated and selfless service as Circuit Steward of the Wenchi Circuit from 2015 to 2018 as well as the Diocesan Treasurer of the Wenchi Diocese from 2019 to 2025 and Board Member of the Wenchi Methodist Hospital. 
 
As an Assembly Member of the Subinso Number Two Electoral Area in the Wenchi Municipality, Mr Mensal also served as the Presiding Member of the Wenchi Municipal Assembly for seven years. 
 
Delivering a sermon at the service at Wenchi, on the theme: “Serving with Gratitude, Finishing with Praise”, Mr Mensah noted that service to God and mankind remained a great privilege and not a burden. 
 
He expressed appreciation to the leadership of the diocese, members of the church and the entire community of the Wenchi Municipality for their support, prayers and advice. 
 
Mr Mensah said: “Your pieces of advice kept me on the watch and have contributed to my success in ministry and secular life.’ 

He thanked also his family for their support, love and care. 
 
He highlighted some of his achievements including the creation of six circuits, bringing the total circuits of the diocese to 20 circuits. 
 
They include Wenchi South, Nkoranza North, Kintampo South, Kintampo North, Sampa, Nkweaso in Techiman, Nsawkaw and Banda circuits. 
 
The diocese later presented Mr Mensah with a citation.
