Omanhen of Mankessim Traditional Area donates musical instruments to two groups

Mankessim (C/R), July 27, GNA – Osagyefo Amanfo Edu VI, the Omanhen of the Mankessim Traditional Area, has donated two sets of musical instruments totalling GH¢60,000.00 to two groups, to develop their musical talents. 

He made the donation during the purification rites of the royal stools, at a colourful ceremony at Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region, to mark his anniversary. 

The groups were the Ebenezer Methodist Church and Obrumankoma Jama group. 

In addition, the Omanhen pledged his commitment to help the vulnerable, destitute, less privileged and the poor to make a meaningful living. 

Presenting the musical instruments, he urged members of the Jama group to take proper care of the items to serve the intended purpose. 

Osagyefo Amanfo Edu reaffirmed his commitment to preserving and promoting the rich culture of the Mankessim Traditional Area. 

He was of the view that supporting the group was an integral part of the Traditional Council’s efforts to empower the youth and strengthen community cohesion. 

Receiving the items on behalf of the Jama group, Mr Ebenezer Brafo expressed gratitude to the Omanhen for his kind gesture and promised to handle the musical instruments with care. 

He described the donation as timely and significant saying; it would greatly enhance the group’s performances during traditional festivities.
