Sunyani, (Bono), July 16, GNA – Mr Kasim Siaka, an aspirant contesting the Bono Regional Treasurer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has pledged to ensure that members and supporters who contributed financially and voluntarily to the political activities of the party in the Election 2028 are recompensed.

He said that the NPP was on the pathway to political victory in the Election 2028, saying that the party ought to build a resilient and solid financial base and to intensify its political activities in the region.

Mr Siaka, an auditor and presently pursuing an MPhil in accounting, gave the pledge in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after he picked nomination forms at the party’s regional office in Sunyani.

He expressed confidence that with a strong membership database in the region, the NPP could improve its finances.

Mr Siaka said that could be done by reaching out to, and convincing the members and supporters on the need for them to contribute financially to the party activities.

The aspirant justified that the NPP’s finances ought to be enhanced to enable the party to intensify political activities, and to especially woo floating voters for Election 2028.

“I think we improve our finances when our membership database is solid, and by doing so, we can reach out to and convince individuals to contribute financially towards building a resilient and formidable NPP,” he stated.

Mr Siaka said: “When we come back to power in 2029, then the party will also identify and reward those who contributed financially.”

He gave an assurance that NPP supporters who contributed voluntarily in cash or in kind to the party’s political activities would be identified and “will also enjoy the fruits of their seeds accordingly”.

Mr Siaka said he was highly optimistic that the party would recapture political power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in the Election 2028, and called on members and supporters to allow the interest of the NPP to supersede their parochial interest.
