Kpassa, (O/R) July 22, GNA – Mr Isaiah Cudjoe Dordoe, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Nkwanta North, has led a team of officials on an inspection tour of the ongoing 24-Hour Economy Market Project to assess the progress of work and ensure that construction is proceeding according to schedule.
The inspection team included the District Coordinating Director, Mr Samuel Gyamena, engineers from the Nkwanta North District Assembly and engineers supervising the implementation of the 24-Hour Economy Market Project.
The visit formed part of the Assembly’s routine monitoring exercise aimed at ensuring quality standards, addressing any emerging challenges and confirming that the contractor is meeting the project’s timelines.
During the inspection, the engineers expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, describing the contractor’s performance as encouraging.
They noted that construction activities were progressing faster than anticipated with the groundworks expected to be completed ahead of the scheduled September 2026 deadline.
According to the engineers, the progress reflected the contractor’s commitment to delivering the project within the stipulated timeframe while adhering to the required engineering standards.
Mr Dordoe commended the contractor and the technical team for the significant progress made so far and urged them to maintain the current momentum to ensure the project is completed on schedule.
He emphasized that the market project formed part of the Government’s 24-Hour Economy initiative, which seeks to stimulate local economic growth, improve trading infrastructure, create employment opportunities and enhance the livelihoods of residents in the district.
The DCE said the Assembly remained committed to providing the necessary support and supervision to facilitate the successful execution of the project, stressing that its timely completion will provide traders with a modern and conducive environment to conduct business.
The inspection team reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to regular monitoring of the project to ensure value for money, quality workmanship, and the timely delivery of the market for the benefit of the people of Nkwanta North.
