Takoradi, July 21, GNA – Mr Richard Acheampong, the MTN Ghana’s Chief Home Officer, says the company is poised to connect every home under the agenda 2030 project.
The company’s new innovations in home connectivity, highlights its drive to make fixed broadband and fibre internet the central hub for Ghanaian households.
Mr Acheampong, taking his turn on MTN’S Bright Series initiative said, COVID-19 has thought Ghanaians and many countries that life and its activities could also be achieved or implemented from the home, hence a significant step to cement the new reality.
He said the various investments in Ghana affirmed the Trust the business had in the Ghanaian economy adding, “we are driving a one-billion-dollar project as part in Ghana’s Internet infrastructure as our commitment to ensure smooth and high-speed connectivity.
He described the fixed Broadband (fibre) as the superior choice for high-speed home internet as fibre offered significantly larger data pipes capable of speeds reaching up to 1Gbps to support the ultimate connected home experience.
He noted that the home had evolved from just a place to sleep into an office, cinema, and digital hub noting how fast internet was thus essential for remote work, smart home automation, video calls, and seamless streaming.
He assured that MTN’s home solutions were intended for Ghanaian; These innovations are part of MTN’s Ambition 2030 strategy, which focuses heavily on expanding digital infrastructure to ensure everyday access to high-capacity, reliable internet across Ghana.
